At Easingwold Methodist Church we welcome all who wish to explore the possibility of Baptism (also know as Christening), whether for an infant, young person or as an adult.

Baptism is the start of an amazing journey of faith, and is a sign of belonging to Jesus and recognising and accepting the love He has for us. The ceremony can also be seen as a wonderful celebration and affirmation of life, as well as an opportunity to bring together friends and family to celebrate the occasion.

Since Baptism is also a sign of being welcomed into God's family here on earth, we usually hold such ceremonies during normal morning worship on a Sunday morning. This way the whole church family at EMC can meet and welcome the child or adult, promising to pray and support through prayer as they start their journey of faith. (Of course, in special circumstances, other arrangements can be made.)
