Flower List
The list for those who would like to provide flowers during the coming year is on the Notice board. Please add your name and if you need help see Anne Hopwood (821573).
LENT
Our morning services during Lent will follow the Theme ‘Becoming the Good News’. To help you prepare for worship and as a daily prayer and action prompt there are sheets available. Next week’s theme will be ‘Jesus who is the good news’, and you are invited to read Mark chapter 1 verses 9-15 before the service.
PRAYER CIRCLE
If you have an urgent or confidential prayer request, please ring one of the following numbers;
Helen 823422; Ruth 821460; Audrey 822846; Alistair 822990
A reminder that prayers for individuals can also be said in Sunday services
(but permission must be obtained from the person concerned)
by writing the details on the Prayer Request sheet in the vestibule.
Oasis on Friday, Feb. 24th will be at the start of Fair Trade fortnight, when we are asked to “Take a STEP for Fair Trade.” Despite the growth in the supermarkets sourcing some foods more ethically, the Fair Trade movement still also supports the small farmers, enabling them to feed their families and contribute to their community. So STEP along between 9.45am and 11.30am and support this vital time of outreach. Coffees and teas are enjoyed in friendly company. If not….then please…Take a step in your buying.
Christine, our friend from Alne Hall Cheshire home still enjoys coming to worship here about once a fortnight. If you can offer to collect her at 10.00am and return her that would be a great offer. We have some loyal drivers but they all have other tasks on Sunday mornings (stewarding, preaching etc.) and in order to keep the rota so that each driver only covers one Sunday every three months a couple more drivers are needed. If one of them could be you, please tell Jill Minty (01347 823553) or any steward.
Thank you in hope!
Action for Children
Before you forget how many pancakes you ate on Shrove Tuesday (February 21st), please collect a form “Count your blessings” from the bench in the vestibule and join in the fun! All money raised will go to Action for Children. Any queries, see Anne Hopwood.
‘REVISITING THE USA’
